Cannot save components

After successfully creating a series of components, i am not able to save any more of them.
I'm pressing save, the page reloads and the component I just saved does not exist.

I checked not having dashes on title or php on content, logout and login again, try different browsers but no luck.

Is there any limit on how many components I can have?
Do you have any idea on what the issue might be and how i can resolve or at least debug it?

MSbip - Blocking by IP address

Blocking user access to the site by the IP address.

In the "settings" section the "Blocking by IP address"

It is enough to specify the ip address of the user, the reason for the blocking and the end date and the specified user will be blocked.

If you do not specify the end date of the lock, the user will be blocked until you manually delete his ip from the database.

When the end date of the lock comes, the user will be able to automatically access the site, his ip address will be deleted from the database.

GS Clean

[this demo isn't loading fonts correctly so looks slightly different to the GS version]

I thought it was a really neat, clean, simple template so I converted it to a GS theme leaving it unchanged. There are some subtle transition effects and a single signature colour which you could easily change. Includes bootstrap css and icons. 

There are four page templates, the default page and sidebar, left-sidebar and full width plus the homepage template which has all the layouts for blog, team photos, projects etc just left as html for you to use as you need.
 
I will make demo site soon.

The plugin will allow admins to restrict the views of the GS back end pages tab according to user and page permissions set.

Error 500

I'm installing GetSimple CMS for the first time and I got passed the login page of the installation where it said it couldn't send out my password to my email then displayed my password along with the option to login, then I got this message:

"Server error!
The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Either the server is overloaded or there was an error in a CGI script.
If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.
Error 500
localhost
Apache/2.4.25 (Win32) OpenSSL/1.0.2j PHP/5.6.30 "

I tried to re-install my going back to "localhost/mysite/admin" but now all I get is the same error message.

What am I doing wrong?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Edit page in Files Tab

In GS, we have theme / component edit facility.
Can the facility be implemented in the files folder? So we can edit the plain text (json, txt, csv, etc.)?
To avoid damage, may be restricted by only files with small size that can be edited.

Google says "This site may be hacked"

A Google search on my site jimdakinconsulting.com brings up the warning.
Very simple site was created by a friend 5 years ago apparently using GetSimple CMS – Version 3.1.
As a novice I occasionally make very simple changes.
GoDaddy, my host, brought this warning issue to my attention. Their message is below.
Can someone give me a clue as to how to respond?

I am using the News Manager to blog about SEO stuff. I have noticed that my blogposts do not have any meta-description in the head. I would like to add custom meta description for my posts. Is there a way to do this? If this question is already answered please share the link. Thank you.

Content of several pages in another page

I would like to know wheather GetSimple has any tool for this:
an end user writes announcements in the page A and other announcements in the page B and latest two or three of them from each page automatically appear (or beginning of them with a link to the full text) in the page C, together with the date of their creation.

Website URL Problem

Hello,

I would like very much to deploy GetSimple, but it is not possible. The Website URL from the settings page is the problem.

I have a Raspberry in my local network installed, so the Website URL from LAN is http://raspberry. I opened port 80 on my DSL-router and with dynamic DNS offered by my provider I can reach the Webpage on my Raspberry from the Internet with an URL like http://home.example.com. The website presented looks very faulty due to the hard coded base website URL.

In my setup, as described, the migrations-script is definitely no solution. I would like to access the Raspberry from both sides, the LAN and the Internet without problems.

How can I use the dscribed setup painless?

Two home pages, cannot delete either one

I have had this problem for a while but it's getting more and more irritating and I need help.

Not sure how I got there, but I have two home pages. One is called "Home" the other "Home Page"
Both have a slug of "index-1" which I cannot change. If I try to change the slug on one to "index", it immediately comes back as "index-1". Same thing with the other.

If I try to delete either page, it is recreated immediately.

I can change the content of one page and when I do, I actually have two home pages, one that is shown when a visitor enters http://www.website.com and the other when he/she clicks on the Home link in the menu.
But if I try to change the content of the other page to look like it, then both pages revert to the old page.

I know it sounds crazy, and maybe my site is possessed. Maybe I need a web site exorcist... Any suggestion accepted.

I do not want to destroy (or recreate) the entire web site or take it down for any length of time as it is pretty busy. I do have a backup site that is pretty much a mirror image of the main site and it has the same problem of course, but at least my content is backed up.

I have been reluctant to go in with the console and hack it.

There has to be a proper way to clear the page index without destroying everything and if so, I'll be extremely grateful to know what it is.

Lost the site-list in the backend

hi,
I test around a bit with templates and just with <http://www.cyberpress.biz/>, switched therefor hierachies and slug-names (try to rename index respectively give another site this name) and suddenly there a no sites listed anymore. The backend-site stops with

and stay blank. How th reanimate the backend (site-listing) - without losing all the templates and plugins?

Added:
when I deaktivate the i18n_base.php, the admin/pages.php ends up normal again with </html>,
but just with one single page with the slug index-1. In the filesystem, there are the other five pages as .xml-files. There are still not shown. When I aktivate i18n_base, the problem is fully back again.

Added 2 hours later:
I leaved plugIns (after deactivate all) and Templates, clean cache and backups and install all admin, backups, data new ... & refill data from elsewhere

"0750 Not Writable - Error!" but everything seems to work fine

I recursively set permissions on the whole installation to 750.  The health check says nothing is writable, but everything still works.  I can edit pages, create new pages, etc.

What is going on?

gs variables in php page

Hi,
i have a form that call a php page, i would like to use gs variables like $SITEURL in that page, but if i put:
PHP Code:
global $SITEURL; 
and use this variable ( in my case i send a link via email), it shows nothing. My action_page.php is in website root dir (where is gsconfig.php ).
